Join us for Amnesty International’s Friendship Week from 8-12 February 2016. Taking part could be a single lesson, a whole day event or whatever suits your school. Activities are suitable from Junior Infants to 6th Class.
The theme of this year’s Friendship Week is Solidarity: Extending The Hand of Friendship to All. Building knowledge of the connections we have with people in other places instils empathy within children and is vital to ensure their successful future participation in our global world.
Friendship Week has been a popular event in Irish primary schools for a number of years and I am happy to tell you that we have an exciting new resource pack for 2016 – with curriculum-linked classroom activities created by teachers for teachers.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to explore human rights education on a level which children can understand through discussion, creative thinking and fun classroom activities!
